I had an extended stay at the Malfroy and it was perfect. Very comfortable sofa (a rare thing in my experience!), well equipped kitchen, great bed and plenty of room to spread out and get some work done. Internet worked very well too. Ron and Mairi were perfect hosts - very helpful and friendly and made every effort to ensure I had everything I needed. The mineral pool and swimming pool were great and the gardens lovely.

Geothermal Mineral Pool - Your very own Rotorua spa accommodation!
We have one of the few remaining genuine, geothermal mineral pools in a Rotorua NZ accommodation property - one which is filled from our own geothermal re-injection bore. The temperature of the pool is kept at 41°C, and many people find the minerals contained in the water are both therapeutic and soothing for muscular pains, arthritis and rheumatism - Healing Waters. Open 7x24 with free access for all our guests, with a 'Whispering Rule' after 8.30pm - 9pm in summer.
Plunge Pool
Our geothermally heated outdoor plunge pool has the temperature set at 38°C in the winter - 32 to 34 in the summer months. It is the ideal size and depth for teaching a young child to swim; and is also open 7x24. Great for looking at the stars before retiring.
Children's Play Area
Our secure play area has a substantial adventure set with a climbing tower, slide, trapeze / rings, firemans pole, and three sizes of swing - including a toddler swing. There is also a play house, a see saw, and seating for the parent / gaurdian.
