Ron and Mairi are wonderful hosts, and their motel is clean and well equipped. The rooms have a small kitchen area, a quirky speaking shower and the bed is very comfortable. Outside, set in a tropical garden, is a spa pool and a warm small pool. Rotarua is an american style town where the car is king - so some traffic noise is inevitable, but this did not stop us from sleeping well. Very good value for money.

We stayed for 3 nights and found the motor lodge to be very warm and cosy. The hosts, Ron and Mairi, made us feel very welcome and nothing seemed to be too much trouble. The rooms are serviced every day and the room attendants are equally friendly. It was lovely to look out on the garden and pool area each day too, which provide a relaxing backdrop. And the mineral pool is divine!

We enjoyed the thermal pools at the Lodge. Ron, the owner, was very helpful in advising us of the best times to visit the various tourist attractions. Our room was very clean.I really liked the gardens around the lodge and the floral baskets.
